About the Author: James Catterall is a Professor of Education at the University of California at Los Angeles, Graduate School of Education and Information Studies (GSE&IS). He joined UCLA in 1981 and is a past Chair of the GSE&IS Faculty. Professor Catterall specializes in measurement and assessment of learning and program evaluations focused on learning in and through the arts.
