Hillel Bachrach is a dynamic executive with over 30 years of hands-on Management and directorship with all aspects of successful commercial global introductions of new, innovative and revolutionary medical technologies. His work has lead to significant sustained and profitable growth providing direct and positive impact on the valuation of the corresponding enterprise.
Mr. Bachrach is the Managing Partner of 20/20 HealthCare Partners LLC. 20/20HCP owns and provides equity financing for promising growth businesses as well as for buyouts or recapitalizations of established companies specializing in the HealthCare IT & Diagnostic Imaging Medical-Technology industry.
At 20/20 HCP, Mr. Bachrach led the funding of Corindus, a leader in Robotics for the CathLab. Corindus recently closed a $12MM B round funding. He currently serves as Corindus Chairman. In 2006 20/20 HCP helped fund Rcadia, the leader in Automatic Segmentation & Classification of Coronary CTA studies. Mr. Bachrach is the Rcadia Chairman. He has also served as the President of Odin Medical Technologies, Inc., (sold to Medtronic in 2006), and is currently on the Board of Directors. In 2006 20/20 HCP acquired a majority ownership in Viztek, a provider of Web-based HealthCare IT solutions, to a broad range of the medical imaging market segment. Viztek, now 20/20 HealthCare, has recently signed a $13MM funding deal; the transaction is scheduled to close in early May 2008. Additionally, he serves as 20/20 HealthCare Chairman.
Mr. Bachrach helped found UltraSPECT, Ltd, in 2001 and is currently on its Board of Directors. In March of 2008, Mr. Bachrach led UltraSPECT to a large distribution agreement with Cardinal Health as well as led it to a $1MM funding round.
Mr. Bachrach founded ESC Medical Systems (now Lumenis) in 1993, one of the first medical laser/flash lamp companies addressing cosmetic applications. From a total VC investment of $2.0 million ESC went public on NASDAQ in Jan 1996, with secondary offering in June of 1996. Through multiple strategic acquisitions, ESC reached close to $1 Billion valuation in 1998. In 1999 Mr. Bachrach founded MSq, Ltd., another innovator in the medical laser field. In March of 2006, TA Associate bought 65% of now Alma Laser, for $120 million in cash, providing x100 to private investors.
Mr. Bachrach served as the CEO of Orex Computerized Radiography from 2001, a manufacturer of Computerized Radiography (CR) systems and software. He led the sale of Orex to Eastman Kodak in 2005.
