Jim Roth is the chief executive officer of Huron Consulting Group and one of the founding members of Huron. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Jim served as vice president of health and education consulting. Mr. Roth also led the Higher Education Consulting Practice since the company's inception in 2002 and under his leadership this business grew more than ten-fold.
While serving as vice president of health and education consulting, Roth expanded this practice oversees into the Middle East to help address the rapid demands for improved health and education in the Gulf Region. Mr. Roth has more than 25 years of consulting experience working with some of the largest institutions in the world.
Consulting Magazine named Mr. Roth one of the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants in 2009. Huron ranked No. 22 on BusinessWeek's 2007 List of Hot 100 Growth Companies. Most recently, Huron was named No. 43 on Fortune Magazine's list of the 100 Fastest Growing Companies
Education
Mr. Roth earned his master of business administration in finance at Southern Methodist University and his bachelor of arts in economics at Vanderbilt University.
