Marilyn Diamond has been the Co-Chair of the Casablanca Committee of the Chicago Sister Cities International Program sine 2001. She is responsible for coordinating projects between Chicago and Casablanca in various areas such as economic development, urban planning, education, culture, medicine, sports, and technology.
Previous to the Sister-Cities Program, Mrs. Diamond was a Project Manager for the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Foundation in Chicago, Illinois where she coordinated education and health projects in Kenya and Ethiopia. Mrs. Diamond has been a Lecturer in American Politics from 1989-1994 at both Barat College in Lake Forest, Illinois and Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. She has also spent many years as a Legislative Coordinator for the American Association for Ethiopian Jews where she lobbied to bring food to Ethiopians during the drought in the early 1980’s.
Education
Mrs. Diamond received her Bachelor’s of Education in 1962 from the National College of Education in Evanston, Illinois. She has a Master’s degree in Jewish Community Studies from the Spertus College of Judaica and a Master’s degree in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois.

Marilyn Diamond has been married for forty-three years to Terry Diamond. They have three children and six grandchildren.
