Enter the event's start and end time in a 24-hour
format. Once approved, these will display with A.M. and P.M.
The following fields are required:
Event Name
Start Time
Location
Contact Name
Contact Email
Event Details
Event Summary
Once you submit an event, it will be reviewed by a Harris School staff member.
If approved, you will receive a confirmation email and the event will post to the
online calendar.
Reminder: events added to this online calendar (once approved) are included in the
Harris School’s weekly email of upcoming events
Event Details: Displays on the event view. Use to provide detailed
event information, such as a description of the event, speaker bio(s), RSVP information,
etc.
Event Summary: Displays on the week view. Use to provide brief
event information (20-words or less), such as the name/title of the speaker, title
of the talk, event highlights, etc.
Category Descriptions: If you do not select at least one category,
your event will not appear on the calendar.
Academic Workshops Use for workshop
series and sessions, such as the Program on International Security Policy or the
American Politics Workshop
Admissions
Use for all admission-related events, such as visit days, graduate school
fairs/ conferences, application deadline, etc.
Alumni Events
Use for all Alumni Relations Office events
Career Services
Use for all Career Services Office events, including recruiter information
sessions, interviews, workshops, help sessions, office hours, etc.
Centers
Use for any center event— Center for Human Potential and Public Policy, Center for
Policy Practice, Cultural Policy Center.
Conferences & Speakers Use for
any public speaker or conference-like event
Student Organizations Use for any
student organization-related event, such as meetings, speakers, the Follies, the
Auction, etc.
