Harris School Announces Hikmat Kaddoura Fellowship
Expanding the funding opportunities for international students, the Harris School has announced a new fellowship program centered around traffic safety issues in Jordan.
The Hikmat Kaddoura Fellowship provides full tuition for Jordanian students who have been admitted to the one-year AM degree program. Fellows must work in Jordan for at least three years following graduation at a government agency, nonprofit organization, or NGO that strives to improve road safety conditions. The fellowship will be awarded on a competitive, merit basis and qualified applications must submit an essay addressing Jordanian road safety improvement in an area of their choice.
The son of Dean's International Council member Maher Kaddoura, Hikmat Kaddoura was killed in January 2008 in a traffic accident in Jordan. Read the Jordan Times op-ed by Maher Kaddoura.
Applications for the 2008-09 academic year are due April 15, 2008.
