Beginning in 2008, Harris School students from Arab League nations will be able to apply for a selected few slots in a new scholarship program funded by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Fellows Program provides funding to students from 22 Arab countries pursuing graduate studies in leadership, finance, or management at leading universities around the world. Upon graduation, fellows are required to return to the Arab region for at least two years to work in either the public or private sector.
Spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation was created to help educate future leaders in the Middle East and to work towards a regional emphasis on higher education.
Other participating programs include the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business, as well as Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School, and Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs.
