Willard Manning Honored with Distinguished Investigator Award
Professor Willard G. Manning has been named this year's recipient of the Distinguished Investigator Award by AcademyHealth. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the field of health services research through scholarship, teaching, advancement of science and methods, and leadership.
Manning's primary area of interest is the effects of insurance on health care cost, health status, and utilization. His work has also included economic evaluation of health treatment and cost-effectiveness analysis and the economics of poor health habits. Manning was presented with the award on June 28 at AcademyHealth's Annual Research Meeting in Chicago.
