A degree from the Harris School provides a solid foundation for working effectively in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors as a forceful and credible voice in public policy debates.
Coursework is geared to solving problems in the real world. And students are assured they will gain the tools needed to question, to implement, and to evaluate.
The Harris School's academic program combines rigorous training in quantitative analysis with social science research and applies this training to the study of enduring public policy issues. Policy problems do not fit neatly into self-contained specialties-which is why the degree programs at the Harris School are set in the context of a multidisciplinary approach.
Throughout the program, students simultaneously develop the skills they will need for leadership in their chosen careers by working in teams, attending workshops, learning professional writing and oral presentation skills, and taking part in special interest forums.
