Harris School students develop the tools they will need to question, to implement and to evaluate policy decisions. Serving students at diverse levels of academic and professional pursuit, we offer a variety of options:
Coursework centers around three components:
- Core courses provide students with analytical skills and conceptual understanding in political economics, statistics, politics and policy, organizational theory, and microeconomics.
- Substantive areas of focus encourage students to tailor their studies to their own interests and career goals, with optional concentrations in three broad areas: international policy, politics and institutions, and social and economic policy.
- Professional tools enable students to acquire proficiency in skills such as budgeting, accounting, management, program evaluation, and survey methods.
The Harris School also offers non-degree programs for students across the University campus and for students taking courses but not enrolled in a degree program.
