Hikmat Kaddoura Fellowship
The Hikmat Kaddoura Fellowship provides full tuition for students who have been admitted to the one-year AM degree program. The fellowship will be awarded on a competitive, merit basis to admitted candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Jordanian citizenship
- English language proficiency
- Postgraduate degree in a field related to public policy
- Qualified applicants must submit an essay addressing road safety improvement in Jordan for a specific area of their choosing. The Hikmat Kaddoura Selection Committee will review all submissions and make scholarship recommendations to the Harris School.
- Fellows must work in Jordan for a minimum of three years following graduation at a government agency, nonprofit organization, or NGO that strives to improve road safety conditions.
The son of Dean's International Council member Maher Kaddoura, Hikmat Kaddoura was killed in January 2008 in a traffic accident in Jordan. Read the Jordan Times op-ed by Maher Kaddoura.
To Apply: The deadline to submit an application for admission to the 2008-09 Hikmat Kaddoura Fellowship Program is April 15, 2008.
As part of the regular application, candidates must submit academic transcripts, GRE or TOEFL test scores, three letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and a current resume.
In addition, as part of the supplemental materials portion of the application, candidates who wish to be considered for the Hikmat Kaddoura Fellowship must include a one-page statement explaining how this program will advance your intellectual and professional interests.
