Presidential Forum on Security,
Democracy, and Trade
On October 29-30, 2007 in San Salvador, El Salvador, FUSDADES
and the Harris School co-hosted a forum for Central American presidents
on issues in security, democracy, and trade. Read the press

Dr. Helen Caldicott on Nuclear
Power and the Environment
On October 10, 2007, Dr.
Helen Caldicott, environment and anti-nuclear advocate and Nobel
Peace Prize nominee, spoke at the Gleacher Center about the danger
of nuclear power and its effects on the environment. Her fascinating
lecture offered valuable insights for this current topic, inviting
the audience to consider further discussion in this direction. Dr.
Caldicott was named one of the most influential women of the 20th
Century by the Smithsonian Institute, has written seven books, and
won an Academy Award for her film, If You Love This Planet.
