Harris School Students to Travel to Jordan and Israel
As U.S.-sponsored efforts for peace in the Middle East commence, twelve Harris School students are traveling in Jordan and Israel as part of the 2007 International Policy Practicum (IPP) on “America, Jordan, and the Future of the Middle East.” Beginning as a classroom-based seminar, the students learned about the region’s history, politics, and current challenges. Starting on December 3, the students and the faculty leader are spending twelve days in Jordan and Israel, meeting with government and business leaders, academics, journalists, and others. After returning, the students will combine their classroom education and their first-hand experience to write a briefing memo suitable for an executive or legislator. Read more.
