Harris School Announces New Fellowship Program
Beginning in 2008, Harris School students from Arab League nations will be able to apply in a new scholarship program funded by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation. Spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, this foundation was created to help educate future leaders in the Middle East and to work towards a regional emphasis on higher education. more >>
Harris School Welcomes Tinker Visiting Professor
Ricardo Paes de Barros has been awarded a Tinker Visiting Professorship in Latin American and Iberian Studies for Winter Quarter 2008 at the Harris School. An expert on issues of poverty, Paes de Barros received his PhD in economics from the University of Chicago in 1987 and is currently a researcher and the coordinator for the evaluation of public policies at the Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (IPEA), which produces economic research for the Brazilian government. more >>
