Samer Salty

Samer Salty has over twenty-two years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, and technology across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. Mr. Salty co-founded zouk in 1999 and is CEO, overseeing the company's strategic direction. He has considerable management experience and has spent the last ten years building zouk and many of the firm's portfolio companies.

Prior to founding zouk, Mr. Salty worked on M&A and private equity transactions within the telecom, media, and technology group at J.P. Morgan. He was also head of global markets for the Middle East at J.P. Morgan, structuring large corporate finance and derivatives transactions with institutional clients. Before investment banking, he spent seven years designing and implementing communications and computer systems for the FAA of the U.S. Government and a number of other international civil aviation authorities. He also led and managed large FAA projects while at Martin Marietta and worked both directly and as a consultant for AT&T, Lockheed, and Hughes Aircraft.

 

Education

Mr. Salty holds a BS in electronic engineering specializing in fibre optics from Cal Poly and a MS in finance from MIT.
