Paula Wolff, Ph.D.

Paula Wolff is a senior executive for Chicago Metropolis 2020 and a visiting faculty member at the Harris School.

Paula Wolff's work emphasizes reforms to the criminal justice system in order to reduce crime and violence in the region and to create a more effective, less expensive system. Prior to joining Chicago Metropolis 2020, she served for eight years as president of Governors State University. From 1977 to 1991, she served as director of policy and planning for Governor Jim Thompson. She directed the gubernatorial transition teams for both Governor Thompson and Governor Jim Edgar. Ms. Wolff serves on numerous boards, including the Johnson Foundation, Ariel Capital Management, Harris Insight Funds, and the Joyce Foundation. She is vice chair of the board of the University of Chicago and chair of the board of the University of Chicago Hospitals.
