Alumnus Brian Jacob to Receive David Kershaw Prize
Brian Jacob, PhD'01 has been named this year's winner of the David N. Kershaw Award and Prize, honoring the work of public policy researchers under the age of 40. The award, given by the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, includes a cash prize of $10,000.
Jacob, the Walter H. Annenberg Professor of Education Policy and professor of economics at the Gerald R. Ford School of Policy at the University of Michigan, focuses on the economics of education, program evaluation, and labor economics. His current research examines school reform and teacher labor markets. Jacob also serves as the director of the Center on Local, State and Urban Policy (CLOSUP) at the Ford School.
