Students from Moscow School of Political Studies to Visit

Students of the Moscow School of Political Studies will attend presentations on U.S. policy at the Harris School on Thursday, October 8.

Their Harris School visit is part of a week-long Chicago program organized by the Library of Congress, Supporters of Civil Society in Russia, and Heartland International. The program focuses on the theme of "American Governance: American Federalism and U.S. Public Policy."

The Harris School will host two sessions. The first will be on U.S. energy policy and will be presented by Steve Goldberg, special assistant to the director at the Argonne National Laboratory; Jim Sallee, assistant professor at the Harris School; and Mary Anne Yates, deputy director of the National and Homeland Security Programs of Argonne National Laboratory.

The second session will cover U.S. administrative law and policy and will be lead by Barry Sullivan, the Cooney and Conway Chair in Advocacy at the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law and Visiting Committee Member at the Harris School.

Just under thirty students of the Moscow School will participate in the Chicago program; all are professionals from public, private, and nongovernmental organizations.
