Graduate Student-At-Large Program
The Graduate Student-at-Large (GSAL)
program is a quality grade and credit, non-degree program that enables adult students to enroll in courses that are offered by
Harris and other departments and divisions of the University without being enrolled in a degree-granting program. The courses
that are taken as a GSAL may be transferred toward an advanced degree. Those who later apply and are accepted into a degree
program at the University of Chicago may not transfer more than three of the courses taken in the GSAL program towards their
degree. For more information, contact the Graham School of General Studies
at 773-702-1726.
