Information for Prospective Students

The Harris School welcomes prospective students to visit campus, meet current students and faculty, and attend classes. Classes are held Mondays through Thursdays, and the school is in session from October through late May.

Where To Stay

Hilton Hotel
The Harris School has a special arrangement with the Hilton Hotel. They offer a discounted room rate as well as a complimentary shuttle from the hotel to campus each morning. You can make reservations directly through the Hilton registration site.

International House
The University of Chicago International House also offers short term and long term housing for visitors and graduate students. There is more information available on their registration website.

Other Area Hotels

When To Visit

The Office of Admission hosts several visit days and open house days during the year.

Information Sessions & Fall Visit Day

Held in October, the pre-application visit days are an opportunity for prospective students to meet the admissions and career services staff, speak with current MPP candidates and attend class lectures. For more information, please call 773-702-8401.

On the MaPP
Each spring, the Harris School sponsors a program for admitted students to learn more about its programs and to speak frankly with the School's faculty and current students. Learn more >>

Alternative Visiting Options
The Harris School admissions staff is able to accommodate alternative visits throughout the year. If you are unable to attend one of our scheduled visit days, we are happy to meet with you individually as well as provide you with an opportunity to attend a class and/or meet with a current student.
