The Harris School's NLSY97 Data
Flat Files from the Bureau of Labor Statistics' National Longitudinal Survey of Youth, 1997 Cohort

Selected Variables from Round One (1997) through Round Eight (2004)

For each round of the NLSY97 currently available through BLS, a hundred or so variable have been downloaded and prepared as a simple, Stata data set with a codebook. The files for Rounds One through Eight and two additional files, one based on the Round One's Parent Interview and one based on the 1997 Department of Defense Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery of questions (ASVAB), are available.

(Data files are in .zip format. Save the file, then unzip to access the Stata .dta file.)
