John Rossant

In April 2008, John Rossant was named executive chairman of PublicisLive, Paris. Joining Publicis in 2005, Mr. Rossant first served as vice president of communications and public affairs where he was in charge of internal and external communications and public affairs for the world's fourth largest communications group. He joined Publicis Groupe's P12 Executive Committee in January 2006.

From 1983 to 2005, Mr. Rossant worked for BusinessWeek--first as its Paris correspondent (1983-1988), then as Rome bureau chief and Middle East correspondent (1989-1999), and finally as Europe editor (1999-2005). In that role, he managed 11 correspondents and support staff in four news bureaus throughout Europe, helped guide the magazine's overall editorial policy and international expansion strategy, and was in charge of editorial joint ventures in France, Poland, and the Middle East.

From 1981 to 1983, he set up Petroleum Information International, an energy industry newsletter. Mr. Rossant's articles have appeared in The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, Le Figaro, Le Point, Corriere della Sera, L'Expansion, Il Foglio, Liberation, and in other European and American publications.
